How much is the cost of “resting in peace” in the Philippines?

While it would be odd for us to look for a promo on coffins and funeral services that offers “Buy One Take One” or “3 for HundredSomething [Thousand, I should mean], a post on Rappler asks, “Exactly how much does it cost to die in the Philippines?”

From green coffins [recycled coffins] in Tondo to the luxurious solid bronze caskets similar to what singers Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson were buried in, Rappler overemphasize the obvious: to be dead in the Philippines is costly. Well, as it caught my attention today and consider it as worth sharing as my post-Halloween entry for this blog, I suggest you should read the entire article here.
