NEW YEAR’S WISHES & GREETINGS (Inbox 1.1.11)

Feeling wistful of the passing year and the memories it will be bringing, I contented myself slumping on my bed on the remaining hours of 2010 hoping to find a comforting rest and eventually find a sound sleep (again) before the New Year’s Eve mass. Unfortunately I woke up a couple of minutes after 12 midnight and had missed all the merriments the New Year brings…

The colorful firecrackers display was almost gone. The smoky air was all that was left plus a bunch of smiling passerby and the sound of firecrackers blasting every minute. The street was a bit noisy unlike those of the previous years.

The recurrent rain showers have undeniably hampered the ways by which people celebrate the occasion outside their homes. I just hoped it did not affect at all the parishioners who will be celebrating the Feast of Mary, the Mother of God.

To begin my first blog entries for this year [the other entry should have been posted yesterday (the last day of December 2010), I intentionally reserved this slot for the treasures I found in my inbox beginning December 31, 2010; 3:22pm up to January 1, 2011; 5:02pm. Thanks to these wonderful people who never failed to inspire and cheer me up…

Happy New Year Po!

Ate Mitch [December 31, 2010; 5:08pm]
